For the past couple of months, we have had some wonderful guest bloggers! It is time you get to know them a little bit more!

Elizabeth Buchanan, Destination Wedding Specialist

Elizabeth (or Liz) is a native Calgarian. She traveled a lot with her family when she was younger, so it was a no-brainer for her to make a career in the travel industry. When she booked her first destination wedding, she loved the experience so much, she decided she would specialize in this special market from then on. She has have planned numerous destination weddings since 2008, including her own, and have 13 years of travel industry experience. After years of learning the Dos (and Don'ts) of executing a wonderful destination wedding, she started Paradise Weddings in the fall of 2014.

Lindsay Recknell, Wedding Recycler Extraordinaire

Lindsay co-founded Wedding Recycle out of pure necessity…the fifteen centerpiece vases on the living room floor had got to go! But finding a targeted audience to sell them to was the tricky part – not just anyone wanted fifteen fish bowls for their home. Thus Wedding Recycle was born – a place to connect with other new newlyweds and recently engaged couples, sharing ideas, and décor, with each other. Lindsay’s role at Wedding Recycle is business development, content creation, media correspondent and community liaison. If you get a chance to connect with Lindsay, you will understand and experience her passion to help newlyweds and brides connect!

David Heidrich, Fine Art Photographer

David believes every wedding is a work of art. Whether I’m capturing candid or intimate moments, my goal is to create timeless, honest images that visually reproduce the intricate details of your day. His company, Heidrich Photography uses a fine art approach to emphasize the exquisite setting and natural beauty of their story. David's wife, Breanne often helps as his second photographer and is also the owner of Heima Photography.
