Last year, I was asked what I want for Christmas and this was my Christmas wish list:
1) Sleep in on the weekends.
2) Not have to fold laundry for a year, month, or even a week.
3) To go to the bathroom without an audience.
Obviously, this is more of dream list than a Christmas list. This year, I have compiled a list of unique Christmas presents I would want and I think other moms would want too. Most of these gifts are local businesses which mean you don't have to worry about shipping! The ones that aren't local businesses are gifts that keep on giving!
Apothecary of Inglewood- The gift of essential oils can really help a mom feel energized (morning) or relaxed (night.) Likely moms will need both to get them through the entire day! Added benefit is for moms to smell something WAY nicer than dirty diapers. Amp up your gift by getting an essential oil class too. This way, she can also have some time to herself too.
FabFitFun - Likely, moms would have heard about this fabulously curated box of goodies by now. These are limited edition seasonal boxes which contain beauty, wellness, fashion, and fitness items worth more than $200 in retail value. The cost of a single subscription #fabfitfun box is $49.99 or an annual subscription for $179.99 (four boxes.) Amp up this gift by getting an annual subscription and not telling the mom she will be getting an additional three boxes in the year! Imagine all the brownie points!! Use code "WINTER10" for $10 off!
Stash - Bring on the old-school or vintage crafts. Knitting and crochet is quickly becoming a lost art. Stash is full of passionate staff to help you learn and explore this craft. They even have classes limited to six people to ensure you have plenty of time to learn, do your craft, and ask questions. The classes available include knitting, crochet, and other crafty classes. If you are not sure what class to chose, I suggest getting a gift certificate. Honestly, this is the best way for mom to get out of the house, learn a craft, and enjoy some me time afterwards. Added bonus is she will have created and completed a craft by the end of the class!
Rodan+Fields - Regardless of how busy and tired moms are, most of them still has a skincare routine of some sort. Treat a mom with luxurious skincare products. Notice how I said luxurious and not luxury?! Rodan+Fields is literally the best kept (not so) secret. They are the leading skincare brand in 2017. Super easy to order as they come in regimen kits and a consultant can give you advice. Amp up your gift by telling her you got her a personal skincare expert that will assist her skincare journey.
LIV Yoga - I think every mom desires to get back into shape after having kids but finding the time is difficult. LIV Yoga is truly a one-stop shop for some great me-time for me. They have many classes at different times during the week for different levels of yogis; cute apparel in store; local snacks and drinks; and massage appointments available. You really can't go wrong with getting a yoga pass here or massage certificate. Mention this blog post and all new clients will get a free drop in class and 15% off any boutique item.
Anything I missed? Do you have a unique gift idea? Please do share! I would love to hear about it!
