DIY MAGNETIC FISHING GAME (15 MIN PROJECT)

Some of the most random DIY projects arise out of random requests by my daughter.

One evening she requested to play fishing. Initially, we used pipe cleaners to make a fishing hook and fishes but she was not impressed at all. Then, I went into my craft supplies and created this DIY in about 10 minutes. (Took me a bit longer because I had to take pictures for this DIY post.)

MATERIALS:

Colored felt

Paper clips

Magnet

String

Popsicle stick

DIRECTIONS:

1. Cut out fish shapes from felt. Tip: Fold over the felt twice or a couple of times so you don't have to cut as many. Plus, they will match!

 2. Lay them out in pairs and hot glue a magnet at the center of each fish. Do this part fast and glue the corresponding side of the fish to the magnet. Doesn't make sense? Imagine making a fish sandwich with a magnet in the middle.

3. Hot glue the twine around the magnet for maximum hold.

That’s it! Ta da! You now have a portable fishing game!
