100 BOOKS TO READ BEFORE KINDERGARTEN

If you had the opportunity to set your kids up for success, would you do it? Of course, you would. Currently, I am trying to set my daughter up for success by introducing her to the love of reading. We started reading to her at a very young age and now, at 4.5 years old, one of her favorite things to do is to curl up with a book, look at the pictures, and tell me the story.

DEALING WITH TOY CLUTTER

DEALING WITH TOY CLUTTER

Unless you loved toys to begin with and is a collector of them, it seems like toys only start coming into your house (and life) immediately after you have a child. Everyone, including yourself, loves to buy toys for your child because of the joy on their face when they receive and play with them. GIVING YOUR CHILD SOME TIME AND SPACE

GIVING YOUR CHILD SOME TIME AND SPACE

As a working mom, the best part of my day is when I pick up my daughter from her dayhome. I am excited to see her, hug her, and to learn about everything that happened with her day. I want to know it all. I will ask her questions about what she ate, whether she took at nap, whether she made a poop, whether she went outside, who she played with, and what they played. Sometimes, she doesn’t share the same “level” of excitement as me.

SAYING NO TO SHOPPING FAST FASHION

SAYING NO TO SHOPPING FAST FASHION

For the past couple of months, I bypassed two (potentially three) major shopping events - Black Friday, Christmas, and Boxing Day. Years ago, I would flock to the mall on one or all of these days and buy close to an entire new wardrobe for the rest of the year. I was taught as a child to buy things on sale to stretch my dollar further. Obviously, it makes sense to buy my clothes on these days when the sales are the best.

ORGANIZE WITH A SUNDAY BASKET

ORGANIZE WITH A SUNDAY BASKET

My “Sunday basket” started when I bought a beautiful turquoise in basket for my work office but decided it was too pretty to bring to work. I kept it at home and it became a dumping ground for all my papers. Once in a while I would go through it (when it started to overflow from the top) and see what things I needed to file, do something with (read a letter), or re-think at a later date.

10 EFFICIENT GROCERY SHOPPING TIPS FOR MOMS

10 EFFICIENT GROCERY SHOPPING TIPS FOR MOMS

Personally, some days I love to go grocery shopping. I would peruse the aisles leisurely and see what deals I find or new products I didn’t know about. Other days, I JUST NEED TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE GROCERY STORE STAT.

One of my 2019 new years resolutions is to help my daughter learn more Chinese.

HOW TO RUN ERRANDS EFFICIENTLY

HOW TO RUN ERRANDS EFFICIENTLY

Would you agree that weekends should be for fun and play with our kids and not for chores and errands? I agree 100%

As a working mom, my weekends are the most important days to spend with my daughter. These are the days we are not tied to a routine and can go out to explore and play. The absolute last thing that I would want to do on the weekends is to run errands. Sure, I can run errands with her but it is no fun for anyone and we both prefer to do fun things. Obviously, errands have to be run and I cannot put it all on my spouse. That wouldn’t be fair to him.

After becoming parents, there is still some effort but I would say there is less focus on making it an incredible night of romance.

ACTS OF LOVE FROM YOUR CHILD

ACTS OF LOVE FROM YOUR CHILD

Sometimes it is hard for us to believe our kids love us because they often don’t listen, do the opposite as they are told, and act like turds. Every since my daughter turned four years old, she has turned into a different person. A person that is argumentative, questions authority, and questions the logic in rules. Basically, she turned into a grown up overnight.
