Calgary has always been my home and I feel it is my duty to give back whenever I can and in whichever way I can.

 
 

REBUILD YYC ZOO FUNDRAISER

After the flood in Calgary in 2013, with the help out many friends and sponsors, we created packs of six greeting cards featuring a different zoo animal. These cards were sold at various fairs and the Calgary Zoo gift shop. Our efforts raised over $3000.

 
 
 

HOPE GALA FOR JDRF

Hope Gala – Sky’s the Limit was a fundraiser held at the Calgary Golf and Country Club for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  For ten months, I assisted with the planning, design, and finding sponsors for the event. The gala included a dinner, silent auction, live auction, raffle draw, and live band. This event raised over $450,000 for JDRF.

 
 
 

RAYS OF HOPE CONCERT FOR JDRF


Rays of Hope Musical Concert was a fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) held at the Cantos Music Foundation. The event included a cocktail reception, tours of the Cantos music collection, silent auction, and musical performances by Dr. J, Kaden Core, and JC and Andy Plett from Room to Dance. With everyone’s support and participation, we were able to raise over $5500 for JDRF.

 
 

CALGARY PUBLIC LIBRARY VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION

I had the honor of assisting with the planning and decor of the Calgary Public Library's Annual Volunteer Appreciation Event, 40th anniversary of the Homebound Readers Program. The highest award, John Dutton Volunteer of the Year, went to five individuals who were the first group of volunteers who signed up 40 years ago and they are still volunteering with the Calgary Public Library.
