As a former wedding and event planner, I missed working with different vendors and bringing people together either for a cause or celebration. Here are some of the past events I organized to bring moms together. More is in the works! Stay tuned!

Imagine a night of shopping just for yourself without the kids. This event was hosted at Adorn Boutique and catered by Pretty Sweet and CRU juice. Local artist, Jill Paddock also had a pop up shop at the event.

As moms, we have the best intentions to take care of ourselves but often we are last on our priority list. Our family will always come before our needs. This event was focused on giving moms some time to take care of themselves, recharge and destress, even if it is only for a couple of hours. Barre Body Studio hosted a barre class for our moms, Tara of Top Knot Mommy provided a fitness seminar, treats and drinks from Little Tucker and True Buch, shopping with Sweat Society, made this event perfect for the mom on the go, always.

The best research a company can do before launching a product is by hosting focus groups for their target group. Local company, Baby Gourmet, is an organic baby food company that had new products in the works and wanted actual moms and kids to sample them and provide feedback. At the end of this event, many babies were fed very well and napped on the way home. A mom’s perfect day trip out.

Moms are constantly taking pictures of their family but rarely are in the pictures. In addition to not being in pictures, sometimes the pictures of our kids are just…not that great either. Amy of Modern Nest Photography hosted a photo sessions for Mother’s Day so that moms can have great pictures and be in them too! Flowers and furniture was from Fern and Frond and Orange Trunk Vintage Styling and Rentals.

Our kids get dirty and have the time of their lives doing it. It was time for moms to get the same opportunity, not literally though. Succulent by Nature hosted a DIY terrarium workshop for a small group of moms to get their hands dirty, get a little creative, and bring home something beautiful that they can be proud to say they made it. Motherlabel, a local designer and brand catered to moms also had a pop up shop at the event. Food and drinks were provided by Pretty Sweet and JUSU Juice.

Meal planning and cooking for the family is often the thing that creates the most headaches for moms. Registered Dietitian, Jennifer of First Step Nutrition taught our group of moms how to shop effectively, plan ahead for meals with the least amount of prep or cook time, save money on groceries, and apps that we can use for finding new recipes. Food and drinks were provided by Made Foods. This event was hosted at [pre]shrunk and moms were able to do some back to school shopping for the kiddies too.

Moms take pictures all the time but when was the last time we lugged out our SLR camera to take them? Probably never because we are already carrying a ton of other things along our travels. Photographer, Kristy-Anne Swart, of Up and Away Studios taught our moms the basics of lighting, focus, and composition in order to take professional looking photographs with our cell phones. Food and drinks were provided by Made Foods.
